Demi Lovato has taken a big step forward in their journey to sobriety.
The 29-year-old pop star completed treatment at a facility last year, according to multiple reports. On Saturday, January 8, a close friend of the singer told E! News that Demi is currently “home, in a great place and doing well”, adding: “They can’t wait to get back to work, to be with close friends and loved ones and want to focus on the positive. “
The singer’s rep made no immediate comment when contacted by E! News.
The news comes a month after Demi announced on Instagram that they no longer adhere to their previous “sober California ways,” adding, “Sober sobriety is the only way.” On the 2021 docuseries of the star Demi Lovato: Dance with the Devil, which dealt with their former heroin addiction, a near-fatal drug overdose in 2018 and their subsequent recovery, the singer said they “smoked weed and drank in moderation.”
