A woman who stole a gun and then considered using it to kill herself has been ordered to seek psychiatric treatment as the court fined her a total of $20,000.

Natalie Delores Onita Clarke, of Stewart Hill, St John, was back in Supreme Court No 2 yesterday after pleading guilty earlier in the sessions to having a .22 caliber handgun and ten rounds of caliber ammunition .22 on May 19, 2021.

She was represented by attorney Simon Clarke, while state attorney Romario Straker appeared for the prosecution.

Yesterday Judge Randall Worrell told the offender that ‘under normal circumstances’ her case was one which would result in a custodial sentence. However, there were mitigating factors related to the offense and itself, he added. (HLE)
