Hailey Bieber thanks Eisenhower Health staff for their treatment during a recent health crisis

Model Hailey Bieber has opened up about her recent health crisis she had in Palm Springs, thanking Eisenhower Health staff for treating her.

Bieber posted a YouTube video on Wednesday opening up about the ordeal.

She revealed that on March 10, she was in Palm Springs having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber, when suddenly she felt a strange sensation that spread from her shoulder to her fingers. .

“‘Justin was like, are you okay?’ And I just didn’t answer because I wasn’t sure And then he asked me again and when I went to answer I couldn’t speak the right side of my face started to s I couldn’t get a sentence out.” It all came out like there wasn’t even a blend, like I couldn’t get the words out. So obviously, immediately I thought I had a stroke, like a full-fledged stroke. He thought I had a stroke. So right away he had someone call 911,” Hailey said.

Hailey says a doctor was present where they were and rushed over, asking her questions and testing her arm.

“So they were asking me questions. ‘Do you know where you are? Do you know your name?’ And I knew all the answers in my head, but as soon as I tried to say it, I just couldn’t get it out. It was like my tongue and mouth just couldn’t form the sentences and the words. answers,” Hailey said.

The Biebers returned to their home in the desert, where they waited for an ambulance to transport Hailey to Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage. She said that by the time she got to the hospital, her symptoms were gone.

“They liked the ER stroke checklist and I scored a zero I had no more symptoms,” Hailey said.

Staff did some scans and discovered Hailey had a small blood clot in her brain, which they classified as a “TIA”.

“Basically, it’s like having a mini-stroke. I really feel like I’m having a stroke, except my body was able to resolve it pretty quickly. And then I didn’t have any more problems for the stroke. rest of the day,” Hailey said.

Hailey spent the night at Eisenhower Health, where they gave her several tests. She was released the next day and went down to UCLA to see more doctors.

Tests at UCLA revealed that she had a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This is a small opening between the two upper chambers of the heart, the right atrium and the left atrium, which led the blood clot to travel from its heart to its brain.

Hailey was again hospitalized for surgery to close the hole, which she said was between 12 and 13 millimeters.

“Now I feel so much better. Now that it’s all done. I feel so relieved. And I’m so grateful to all the doctors at Eisenhower Medical Center who took care of me, all the doctors at UCLA who have took care of me,” Hailey said.

Hailey said doctors determined the cause of her clot was a perfect storm of three different things. She recently started taking birth control pills, which she should never have done as she suffers from migraines. She recently had COVID-19. And she flew from Paris to the West Coast in no time, sleeping during the flight back and forth.

“If there is anyone out there who is seeing this who may have been through similar things but don’t really know the reason or why, I would definitely encourage you to talk to a doctor,” ended his video saying Hailey.
