Lily Collins received no special treatment from her husband while filming ‘Windfall’.
The Emily In Paris actress has teamed up with her filmmaker wife Charlie McDowell to work on the new Netflix movie, but insisted he treat her like any other cast member.
Lily told The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s really funny because I forgot we were together because he treats everyone the same and he’s a director of actors. The way he communicates was so easy it was as easy as ever. But I always saw him as my director. Obviously coming home late at night to talk about the day is different.
Lily, 33, and Charlie, 38, got married six months ago but were engaged while working on ‘Windfall’ with Jason Segel and Jesse Plemons and both were in awe of how each other was working on set.
Lily said: “He’s strangely calm under pressure and very solution-oriented. He knows exactly what he wants. He has a very clear vision. He can make decisions like that – super, super quick. If some something changes due to unforeseen issues or whatever. , he’s very calm. He’s pretty much at the end of the game. How do you get there and how do you tell the story in a way that’s meaningful, honest, and put you at ease.
Charlie added: “She’s a chameleon. She’s so kind and respectful to everyone, and then she can play a scene where she does a dark turn. To go through that with her and be really creative with her was something totally new, but really, really special to us.”
